This needs some tweaking. I incorrectly read TM_PROJECT_DIRECTORY as being the directory of the project, but in cases where the project is a selection of files this may not be the case.
I want to avoid having to use absolute paths as I need to share projects across different environments.

sorry for the super late reply. Could you please provide steps to create a sample tex project, that shows the problem. Would setting %!TEX root = work in your situation?
