There is now an initial implementation of this in svn r.132. The editor will
"blink" matching parens/braces/etc
as you type, and also when you move the cursor across them. Double-clicking a
delimiter will select
everything from this to the matching opener or closer; and there is a "Balance
Delimiters" command in the
Edit menu that extends the selection to the enclosing delimiters.
There is not yet any facility to customize the set of "paired" characters; this
should go into the Preferences
dialog eventually.
I'll try to get fresh Windows and Mac builds out shortly; then I'm going to be
largely offline for a week, so
there will be a pause before further updates.

The delimiter pairs are now configurable (through a text file; no need to
clutter Preferences with this), so I am
