I believe this bug is fixed in jellyfish 2.2.4
from kat.
This is actually an issue in the KAT code which I've already fixed in the develop branch af665d0. I will be releasing a new version of KAT soon which will contain this fix.

Wonderful. Please do release a new version. Thanks!

Should be fixed in the latest release: https://github.com/TGAC/KAT/releases/tag/Release-2.1.0. Please reopen if there are any issues.

Great! Will you open a PR to update the Homebrew-Science kat
formula?

I'm looking into this today. I'm running into a bug though when I only seem to encounter when running kat via homebrew. Possibly something to do with utf8 parsing of command line options? I'll have to try and fix this first.
