This looks like the result of a bad GCC installation. (I
don't have those problems with GCC on Solaris 8.)
The GCC installation probably installed bad header files,
which would account for most of the warnings - the ones in
"addrtoname.c" would occur if <string.h> weren't, for
example, declaring "strdup()", but it should be declaring
"strdup()", and the "__builtin_va_alist" stuff is a GCCism
that shouldn't cause a problem if the <stdarg.h> that GCC is
including were the right one for that version of GCC.
I have no idea why the headers were installed incorrectly,
no idea how to figure out why, and no idea how to fix it, so
you're on your own there.
