Installed instantaneously without errors. Post Reboot desktop took some time like 2 min for the task bar to appear (even though i ran explorer from the task mgr a few times to see if it comes up).

Start button clicks but does not open the start menu even after waiting 5-10 min.
Lemme try a few reboots. Else will try uninstall & reinstall

Am on M1 mba 16/512 mac os sonoma 14.5 with parallels 19 running Win 11 24H2 b 26100.712

FYI, apps run from task bar icons or with start+r etc, just the start menu isn't coming up. Right clicking start menu runs stuff like disk mgmt but not settings or installed apps etc which give weird error there's no associated app to open control panel.lnk

Recall cannot take snapshots and cannot be activated on VMware Fusion MacBook Pro M3 - Something went wrong. When I try to activate the snapshots it from settings the settings menu crashes. Recall can be started as an app though.

Update: The older Amperage_v2024.5.31_arm64.zip works, the newer one does not

Can confirm the same experience as @dkochev on a M1 Macbook Air running VMWare Fusion. After installing the prior version as suggested, it started working immediately.

The link here, while talking about emulating it, has a link to the UUP installer which can generate the correct supported build on ARM - not too old and not too new. I couldn't find a copy of this build elsewhere.

Windows 11 version 24H2 build 26100.712 installation image from here

I used the uupdump script to generate an ISO file - which can take a long time to download, build and compile the ISO. Once you have a 26100.712 ISO from this, you can install it with your VM software of choice just by selecting the ISO. You can ignore all the other instructions on this page for Fusion or Parallels.

I used the German image from here: https://www.deskmodder.de/blog/2024/04/27/windows-11-24h2-26100-iso-esd-deutsch-english/#ARM I have installed the English language pack, but some apps will still have German menus afterwards. Microsoft unable to solve this problem after so many years is just really messed up. I use mainly German in Switzerland, and this is not an issue for me though.
