Wouldn't that be a duplication of the tbl_cube() logic in dplyr? I have opened two related pulls there: tidyverse/dplyr#1563 tidyverse/dplyr#1568.

No, it would be something much simpler than that - it would just create a flat data frame, not trying to preserve the full table structure.

But still -- the result would be the same as . %>% as.tbl_cube %>% as_data_frame ? If not, could you please show a small example?
