We are discussing internally possibly expanding resource request/limits to more components. Probably in a similar manner to the ComponentResources like you found on the Installation CRD.
Are you still seeing fluentd-node being "quite hungry"? I'm wondering if we need to look into why that is.

thanks, yes still seeing this from time to time so maybe worth interesting too, but anyway I think that for this kind of daemonsets is important to have the possibility to set limits to avoid impacting other workloads in case anything goes wrong
