@mvoelske Usually, users can start and stop their VM via the Web-UI of TIRA.
The login to the Frontend is the same as their credentials for their VM.

Currently, I think I would preferr when we let users only start/stop VMs via the web-ui.
Is there a reason why they should not use the UI?

this is kind of a special case, where they're not participating in any task. Is it still possible to start/stop the VM then?

Yes, in that case it is still possible to start/stop VMs in the frontend.

But this is maybe not obvious :)

Users have to navigate to an arbitrary shared task, and there they see the buttons to start/stop their VM.

@MattiWe We may want to improve this in the new frontend?

I was thinking about a dedicated 'my software' page that just lists links to the valid user-on-task page. That requires some conceptual changes in different parts. I think this is a good idea, especially since the current navigation (after cleaning up the tasks page) feels a bit clunky and unintuitive.
