+1... not so much to save bandwidth, but more about speed, especially in conferences :) The faster you are up and running, the better

Strictly speaking, neither node or git are part of the cspkg. Both are downloaded from the web on role startup. This bug is to instead pre-upload node and git to blob storage: since data transfer within the data center is free, in multi-instance deployments this will be less expensive than having each instance download the bits from the web. Likely more reliable too.
