It may be solved by this workaround:

if s:molokai_xml_hack == 1
    hi def link xmlEndTag Function
end

But it's a hack.

This is actually intentional, as it makes reading the XML content easier. I could add a config for it, if you'd like.

I looked a bit closer at this, and the reason this happens is because the syntax declared by syntax\xml.vim is this:

hi def link xmlTagName      Function
hi def link xmlEndTag       Identifier

Molokai uses different colors for functions and identifiers. I guess I could add either a g:molokai_no_identifier or g:molokai_no_function setting to force them to be the same, but it will definitely affect the rest, not just xml highlighting.

I could add a g:molokai_no_identifier
