That is strange indeed. I see two pissibilities that could be the cause:
- the gamepad is not correctly reporting the battery state or windows isn't reading it
- XBatteryStatus stopped updating
When you are using it next and you see that it doesn't match can you check two things. In Windows bluetooth settings it should show the battery status. That should be the same value XBatteryStatus has access to.
You can also try to close XBatteryStatus (rightclick on the icon) and start it again to see if it updates after that.
