Confirmed in Opera 11.61 on Windows XP SP3. Icon hangs about for ~3-4 seconds and then disappears. Doesn't appear to be an issue on latest Chrome/Firefox

Hmm, interesting.
I am actually using this in conjunction with ChiperSoft/Timed to do some polling for new notifications. I was having it update every 3 seconds for testing purposes. I've cranked it down to every minute and it seems to hang around a bit longer but does eventually disappear in Opera. Certainly not a dealbreaker. Would it be possible to just tell Opera to fallback for now?
