Tim's response:
Heather, a couple of things with this case:

  1. In the admin section, the report is showing up as saved, not submitted. He may not have submitted his case.
  2. It also looks like outcome wasn’t specified, which may have prevented submission. You’re supposed to have to complete that question, but if you save and quit, then go back to it you can skip them. We definitely need to decide on the work flow for users based on what is and isn’t mandatory now. I think if he double checks the outcome, and makes sure to click submit at the end it should go in.

The email itself has never been fleshed out, hence the need to move to push notifications. However, if we are focusing more on the web now, we need to figure out what the emails should all say, and ideally what links they should contain. Since the case wasn’t submitted, the email was premature, so I need to figure out how to exclude cases that are saved, not submitted.

As far as the links being weird, I think the browser is saving the information from a previous session and not updating it. Not sure what the fix/time frame for that would be.

To Do:

Heather/Mili - re-work what exactly the language in the email should say when you are alerted to a new case and a new discussion having been posted

Tim/Developer -

  1. Figure out what links the email should contain to ensure the user is directed to the right place.
  2. Figure out how to exclude cases that are saved but not submitted from having emails sent

Both - Need to decide on the work flow for users based on what is mandatory so questions like outcome can't be skipped
