Hi @ghacheniour,

The issue you're observing is due to the inclusion of the 'Z' when calling Time.at. The 'Z' here is a placeholder as well, and it indicates the TimeZone of the date/time being passed in. If you take a look at Java's SimpleDateFormat you can see specifically what all these values mean. On the page there, it lists an example of 'Z' as '-0800'. When I use that with your example, things work as expected.

Time.at("2019-05-12 00:00:00 -0800")
res1: com.twitter.util.Time = 2019-05-12 08:00:00 +0000
