I just checked this: We are always adding geometry to the placeDetailFields when any are passed in. So passing in nothing returns all the values.

Adding anything else (e.g. formatted_address, geometry or geometry.location) just returns what expected: the geometry and what got specified.

Can you check your request in the browser console? This is the result when I copied your placeDetailFields={['geometry.location']} to the example app:

My response is exactly the same as yours. Maybe I just didn't understand the pricing and why it uses 17$ and I was confused by the 0$ basic data.
