I was able to fix the 'flip_page' issue by adding -vf scale=320:240 to the mplayer command.

and btw, you can pass the video-device to ./test, simply using
$ ./test /dev/video5
(no need to recompile)

afaict, the problems have either been closed with the v4l2loopback-0.6.1 release or are problems of 3rd party programs (e.g. mplayer)
