Modified date and Published date are both visible

Modified date and Published date are both visible

Can u try to delete following lines:

esc_attr( get_the_modified_date( 'c' ) ),
esc_html( get_the_modified_date() )

I removed those two lines and got the dreaded white screen of death. The site didn't load at all.

since there is a class for both dates I just used css to hide the published date.

I managed to hide it by removing the following:

if ( get_the_time( 'U' ) !== get_the_modified_time( 'U' ) )
    $time_string .= '<time class="updated" datetime="%3$s">%4$s</time>';

and

esc_attr( get_the_modified_date( 'c' ) ),
esc_html( get_the_modified_date() )

I hid this using CSS, it's no longer an issue. Thanks for following up.
