The mouse is hidden because UTM does not detect installed SPICE Tools drivers, but you can solve this problem by creating a Linux virtual machine by selecting Linux from the virtual machine wizard menu, installing it (you don't have to do the previous step if you already chose Linux from the virtual machine wizard menu) and selecting "Install SPICE Tools" from the CD/DVD icon, and installing SPICE Tools to enable proper mouse capture when hovering over the window.
