It’s not a complete show stopper if we can’t polyfill the color functions.
In any case, we should expose all colors as individual custom properties (even color stops for gradients), and them possibly use the color functions to compute some of those. This allows theme developers total control over any computations, which is not currently the case with the Valo theme.
