We could consider transpiling the code to meet a lower browser target (currently it targets node) however the runtime is really only designed for development/testing purposes. It's shouldn't be shipped to real users as it's not optimised. If you are shipping the runtime in your production bundle I'd suggest there might be something wrong with your setup?

@nsaunders to discover all code not compatible with ES5 in the target bundle, I'd recommend es-check. It's unlikely that vanilla-extract made it there, but you might discover something else!
