This is expected because the inner <div> also has display: 'flex', which matches the browser's output. A workaround is to use whiteSpace: 'pre' here:

@shuding Oh yeah, the implicit display: flex is confusing when comparing to HTML.

Should satori throw an error if the div is missing it?

Let's throw an error if display: flex is missing on an element and it has children. Or at the very least, warn.
