I could see same issue using plugin demo page.

from your log I can see
E/MediaCodec( 5133): Codec reported an error. (omx error 0x90000004, internalError -2147483648)
according to OMX_core.h, error gt 0x90000000 are vendor specific decode error ....
looks like you are not the only one o get this error: google/ExoPlayer#951
this issue was raised with Youtube Dash content.
it does not seem specific to hls.js. this needs to be followed up with Samsung.
anyway using MSE on Android < 4.4 seems not really reliable.

Thanks for info. Same stream is working fine using videojs contib-hls plugin so this looks MSE specific issue.
