What ad library are you using in conjunction with this plugin? This project provides a framework for integrating an ad library with video.js-- it doesn't handle the details of the ads itself (e.g. VAST responses).
Just for background, ad-timeout-playback ensures that the viewer isn't forced to wait around forever if the ad library or ad server is misbehaving. If the ad server happens to be unreachable for some reason or another, the video will begin playback without ads after the timeout expires.
