Can you try replacing 'coffeelint' with a different task inside watch.lint.tasks. If you still have the same problem with a different task, the issue is probably to do with grunt-watch.

If not, I'll reopen this issue and look into it further. Thanks.

Perhaps it is an issue with grunt-watch. I am not able to tell yet. I got round this problem by doing this instead:

    watch:
      common:
        files: ['src/apps/*', 'src/apps/common/**/*']
        tasks: ['coffeelint', 'requirejs:common']
        options:
          nospawn: true
