I don't have much experience with Vue and what components it can take from React but compatibility of web3React and Vue might be an issue if we want a consistent wallet provider across templates?

Good point, but I wouldn't enforce hard-and-fast rules across different UI frameworks. Keeping no wallet management system in Vue, if there is no good alternative to web3-react, is okay. In general, I suspect Vue users have fewer libraries to choose from compared to React users.

Having used Onboard.js I think that I'd recommend using web3React for this purpose. Onboard.js is very powerful but there's a fair amount of boilerplate which it needs wrapped around it. It's also doesn't take advantage of many react features like web3React (You can't access the web3 provider using a hook unless you manually wrap Onboard in a context).

I think the mempool tracking feature comes from notifiy.js (also by blocknative) however.
