Good suggestion! I'm a frequent user of the angular-bind-once directive as well. I like the idea of being able to tell the directive that the source ain't gonna change.

Yeah, I've played a little with that plugin, but I read up a little and experimented further now.

On page load I get a total of around 0.5–3 ms for my 400 gravatars, if I read the numbers correctly. And every time I do something to trigger digests, it seems to add another 2 ms or so to that total. It amounts to around 20% of the total watch expression cost. Would definitely be cool to get rid of that after the first load.

Tried it in my project and it seems to work. Nary a blip in Batarang.
