Yep, that seems like the most sensible option for setting that up. Perhaps the same mechanism could be used for configuring the consul URL (noted on your TODO list) at the same time?

Worth noting we should also assume all values by default to try to keep the gem as wire compatible with previous versions as possible!

@ross-w I've had a go at implementing this as it became something important to @WeAreFarmGeek today.

It's unit tested and also tested with cucumber (requiring consul to be running), so it seems to be wire compatible with the previous version. I'm pushing a release now. Let me know what you think of it!
