We only support webOS OSE. There is a separate CLI that supports webOS TV.
You can get the CLI for TV from the site below.

Hi, i've been in the same trouble as you but i've found a working solution for my case, i hope it can help.

Go to: https://webostv.developer.lge.com/develop/tools/cli-installation for full guide.

• Uninstall global @webosose/ares-cli

• Download the package from the link for your OS

• Define the LG_WEBOS_TV_SDK_HOME variable and put in that path the folder CLI (and nested files) you have downloaded before (removing previous CLI folder if present)

• Ares commands should work fine now

I've found the guide referred from link pretty clear, let us know if it work in your case too
