That's a great idea and should be easy to implement.
Regarding #11: Should there be multiple functions for current_window
, current_session
and all_sessions
? Switches for visible_only
vs. including_history
?
from tmux-complete.vim.
IMO nothing should be optional except scrollback (calling it "history" could be confusing since that normally refers to command history, not command output).
I'm in favor of a single function that takes some sort of include_scrollback
parameter.
Also, this function wouldn't necessarily need to worry about caching, since that can be handled in the unite/ctrlp source adapter. But I can see it being useful to have a force_scrape
parameter that causes the plugin to regenerate the strings, and otherwise just returns a stored list that is updated on events such as CursorHold
or VimResized
(which is what dispatch.vim relies upon). Of course, this isn't perfect because the tmux strings can change in the meantime.

Sounds reasonable. I used the term history
because that is what man tmux
is referring to. But I agree that it might be misleading.

I decided to use a numeric parameter instead to allow a finer grained control about the resulting word count and performance of tmuxcomplete#words
in #20.
