Hey! I don't use it personally but after taking a quick look at the README I assume you need to decorate the options passed to lspconfig's setup() function, which I imagine would look something like this:

lsp_installer.on_server_ready(function (server)
  local opts = {}
  ...
  opts.capabilities = require('cmp_nvim_lsp').update_capabilities(vim.lsp.protocol.make_client_capabilities())
  server:setup(opts) -- this :setup() function is exactly[1] the same as lspconfig's setup() function
end)

yes exactly :)

issue was i need to pass capabilities to lsp setup, but since your api is a bit different, wanted to make sure i pass capabilities right.
