I am using symbolic link to achieve that currently.
mklink /D "<DU's Lua directory>/sub-directory" "<src project directory>"
from du-luac.
From what I recall, the idea is to be able to achieve something similar to ArchHUD modular, where you have some files deployed in the DU install directory and loaded by the script.
