If it is something you feel strongly about, I would review PRs concerning it.
I don't want performance or ease of install to suffer. If it improves those, that is certainly a plus.

I got a bit distracted, as I realised that the MySQL requirement means things can't work without some setup anyway, for things to 'just-work', the ability to use sqlite might help (though performance would suffer) .. though that would mean using something like sqlalchemy to become database agnostic.
So, I kind of stopped there for now ... I may well come back and look at pysoundcard though, it's pretty straightforward to get going.
