Now I installed Android TV 9 firmware on the TV instead of Android TV 11 and the remote control started working on kodi 20.5. Apparently KODI is not very friendly with Android TV 11

Remotes do work on android 11 in general. No idea why your combination of whatever you have doesnt.
You can keep ranting on, but at this point in time nothing is changing for the Nexus line or the impending initial 21 release. A developer will continue to improve input as, and when, they have time. Your issue is still open, nothing else is needed.

Hello all, any updates on this one? My tv just updated to Android 11 and all sorts of periferic devices stopped working on Kodi ( remote Bluetooth IR xbox controller phone mouse keyboard)
