I think that with the latest commits to master branch, this is working. I tested on my machine and it's blurring Dash to Panel on all sides of the screen (but need to disable/re-enable Blyr so that it updates correctly)

Yes exactly, thanks to @asant version 8 of the extension (which is now also downloadable via extensions.gnome.org) has changes in place which allow for a blur under the dash-to-panel actor.

For some reason, version 8 still does not blur my panel (at the bottom of the screen). Any idea?

Edit:
Turns out if you use the "Keep original gnome-shell top panel" the blur is only applied on it, and not the bottom panel. Dash to dock seems to work though.

@firasdib yes this option is currently overruling the blur on the dash-to-panel panel actor. This behavior has already been reported and might be finding its way into a separate issue. But for the moment, I see it as quite an edge case and additionally it is difficult to fix without affecting other users' experience.
