pebble-gw2bosses's Issues

Need a way to mark events as complete for the day

Because many events occur repeatedly throughout the day, and you only need to do them once daily, the user should be able to long-press select to mark an event as done.

I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to implement persistence for this feature yet. I have a couple ideas, so I'll have to see what works.

I don't think I will set it up to hide events which have been completed as then there would be no way to un-mark a completed event without a complicated UI. Perhaps collapsing completed event items and hiding their timers might work.

Select to set reminder alert

The user should be able to press select on an item to set a reminder.

I think I know how I'm going to do this already. I plan to have it alert at 5 minutes prior, and event start.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a way to make the timers run even when the app is closed, so the user will just have to keep it open.

Display more events in the list

The list is currently limited to 5 items because the timer text frame would overlap the other text if the time was 100 minutes or over.

I plan on setting it up to automatically size the text boxes to fit the given time, but it was cut for time.

When this is implemented, the timers will use the standard HH:MM:SS format, too.

Event durations are always assumed to be 15 minutes.

The way I have the event list set up, the system can't tell how long events last, or when events overlap. This is not usually a problem, but a few events, such as Claw of Jormag often run longer than the 15-minute window this app assumes.

I have a plan to fix this, just need some time to design a new event database format.

I would like to ask for assistance finding average pre-event and main-event duration times, as the current schedule does not allow me to visit a lot of these events very often.
