`zellij --layout compact` is crashing

`zellij --layout compact` is crashing

I'm afraid I'm not reproducing this (all commands you mentioned work for me). Would you like to troubleshoot this some more to find out the exact issue?

Hi, thanks for the reply. It actually used to work for me as well and I used it all the time, it started breaking after a restart yesterday, since then I have restarted multiple times. How can I troubleshoot more from here?

When I ran -> zellij action start-or-reload-plugin zellij:strider the active zellij session crashed with the below logs.

You might try to clear the cache. It's location is different per OS, for me it's ~/.cache/zellij (beware, this will delete all resurrectable sessions)

I am on mac os m1, and I don't have ~/.cache/zellij or ~/.config/zellij. also, printenv | rg -i zellij returns nothing.

another piece of information(not sure how helpful would it be), but the zellij --config=/dev/null --layout compact is breaking across multiple terminal emulators. Tried on->

• iterm2
• alacritty
• warp
• kitty
• mac-os built in terminal

cache on mac should be at ~/Library/Caches/org.Zellij-Contributors.Zellij
