Hello, are these older batteries? Or is the constant voltage in stage 2 (Vboost) too high?Otherwise the current should drop below the taper current - at least after a long time. I recommend to simply try it. Measure the current at the end of stage 2, when you want to go into float charge. Use that current as taper current. "End of stage 2" is perhaps vague. Charging with the 12A output of the ENC-360-24 takes a long time. Thank you for your suggestions. The batteries are indeed used, but seem to be in good (and similar) condition. I do not have a temperature compensation and they are stored around 15 deg C, so my charge voltages could actually be a little low, so I should reach the taper current even earlier. I do not experience any gas release (checked with transparent film over valves) in either boost or absorbtion. I will follow your suggestion of waiting longer in stage 2, as long as they are not gasing, there shouldn‘t be anything wrong with it, right?

Hello again, in my opinion experimenting is totally save if the batteries are not gasing - since the usual way of charge maintenance is simply applying a constant voltage (typically 13.4V) for a (very) long time period (month...a year).
