My New Test Issue

As a visitor to shop.gardenvariety.com I should immediately see an age gate before entering the site. This age gate should prevent me from entering shop.gardenvariety.com if my DOB does not match the legal criteria (19 years or older). Once I acknowledge that I am of legal age, by clicking the YES button, I should be able to enter the site.

Acceptance Criteria:

The header should be built in accordance with the below mock

Sparrowolf needs to be behind age gate, not in front (for legal compliance)

The age gate needs to cover the Shopify experience - Kevin

Clicking on YES [button] should let me enter the site

Clicking on NO should direct me to an error page denying my entry

Terms of Use and Privacy Policy should match green format

Error message should display in clear, yellow lettering “Your age is below the minimum required to enter the site and purchase cannabis.”

Please place in the yellow shown as #F1D54F and ALL CAPS.

Do we need province drop down option for V1?

We need to set this page up so anyone visiting the site receives the age check upon first entry:

User clicks or enter direct URL to Locations page (or any other page through the site), they will receive the age gate check

User hard refreshes on different page and has already passed through the age gate check. We do not want them to get the age check again

User comes directly to the root of the site, they will receive the age gate check

Place the age gate into redux

Place the age gate into session storage in order to remember the user has legally passed through the age gate

Bots need to be able to crawl through the site even if the user has to pass through
