awesome-opensource-documents's Issues

Should we have non-free works in this repository?

When one stumbles upon https://github.com/nacyot/awesome-opensource-documents, they might expect to find documents that suit the Open Source Definition only.

However, we can find documents with those licenses in this repository:

  • "CC"-licensed documents (no clarification whatsoever)
  • "CC NC"-licensed documents (which is not a free culture license)
  • "CC NC-ND"-licensed documents, which is even worse than the above (modification is prohibited, this includes translations)

Maybe those entries should be either removed after discussion with the author (to liberate it). Alternatively, they can be moved to a separate repository or file, to avoid confusion.

Also, all entries should be clarified, since "Creative Commons" is not a license, but an organization.

Unclear licensing

Some of the licenses you indicate for works in this repo are unclear - for example, SICP is listed as 'cc-sa', which is not a license. Additionally, you don't indicate license version, which is pretty important - CC-BY-SA-4.0 and CC-BY-SA-3.0-DE are different in nature.

It would be better if you linked to a description of the license something bears, kinda how I did it in awesome-gamedev.
