Device database

To simplify device select and under stand its capabilities, the application should use a device database to describe supported devices, their capabilities, and what driver to use.

It would be nice for this to be sourced external to have updates come out of band of releases. In this case, only devices with drivers available in the current version should be shown.

SVGs currently do not stay within the button or image bounds.

Laravel Mix seems to fix many issues with Vue an Typescript interaction as well as handles all known uses cases for building the code base.

Make the validation less aggressive

The validation is entirely too aggressive. It should use the handleSubmit scoped variable of the validation observer.

Unable to reload configuration due to locked serial port

A means to close the existing connections of switches is needed to free them for the configuration reload.

Automatic updates

Would like to handle getting updates via an apt repository to simplify the update process. This repository should be added during the installation (and removed during uninstallation).

Update the README for new dependencies and build process

• Though mentioned, the Raspberry Pi 4 in it's 4GiB configuration can and should be used for the entire build process.
• The packaged Vue-DevTools have been replaced with those installed via the Electron DevTools Installer. This will fix the random issues with the packaged version of the Vue-DevTools not working.

Look for more stable symlinks for the device paths

Since the Raspberry Pi can rearrange the files associated with the device, using the serial/by-id paths would produce more reliable results.

could it be possible to configure everything also from a computer? like if i access the ip address i can edit the sources, switches and tiles from my laptop's browser?

could it be possible to make the icons arrangeable and scalable? I am using a larger touchscreen and that would be cool! thanks :)

This will allow a warning to be displayed when an experimental driver is selected.

Some changes in v1.1.0 removed all styles in production builds. Development builds seem unaffected.

Create installation documentation

Build a data migration system

At some point data structures may change. Before that happens, the application needs some form of migration system for updating any data structures.

Part of that will require tracking the last version of the application that was run, so that when the application detects it has been updated it can migrate its data to the latest version.

Hi! I just found out this amazing project!
But, after installation and configuring 2 switches and 2 sources i see still the blank black screen with the two icons, what am i getting wrong?

plus, i've got a extron ism482 and an extron usp405, can i help you someway to integrate these devices? thanks!

General settings section

Create a general settings section to provide the following settings:

• What does the power button do? Dropdown/modal;
  • Power off the system and all controlled devices
  • Power off only the system
  • Power off only the controlled devices
  • Toggle the power on all connected devices
  • Hide the power button
• Power on controlled devices with the system? Checkbox or Yes/No dropdown/modal.
