sanitize is a Python module for making sure various things (e.g. HTML) are safe to use. It was originally written by Mark Pilgrim and is distributed under the BSD license.

Usage:

>>> import sanitize
>>> sanitize.HTML('safe<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; URL=/">')
'safe'

How to do a release

1. Update the version in sanitize.py
2. Update the version in setup.py
3. Run the test cases: python sanitize_test.py
4. Run python setup.py sdist upload
5. git commit -am "released version XX"
6. git push

Watchdog.net revives in the form of act.watchdog.net. Information aggregation is gone?

Hi all,

Read this blog post and so many others recently.
http://www.aaronsw.com/weblog/watchdog

Discovered the site through https://archive.is/watchdog.net since it got offline for a long time.

Then it reappeared online recently, but with what it seems a different mandate, which seems to be a proxy for other sites actions, like act.watchdog.net seemed to be in time.

The role of aggregator and information presenter is gone?
This kind of project needs to go international.

I would love to participate.
