Feature: Import images from folder on desktop

I have a folder on my desktop I’d like to generate images from. Would be cool if you supported that.

securityd_xpc_dictionary_handler

Plugin seems to work fine in every when except when you press "Load Photos" the spinner appears, the system waits, then the dialog disappears but no images are loaded. A look in the console reveals these logs which looks like they have something to do with keychain access perhaps.

I have a single entry in the keychain for the SketchSquare instagram token but it seems that the plugin can't access them (see below).

sketch ver 52+ d'not working

Hey. How can I install the plugin on the latest version? Now it does not work on version 52+?

Clear existing fills, but keep the styles.

When you run the plugin on rectangle that already have a picture fill, it should replace it instead of adding on top of it.

Request: ability to define custom endpoints easily

Congratulations on the plugin, it is amazing and we'll definitely be using it as an example of what can be done with scripting in Sketch.

While watching the demo video, I thought: "I'm sure there's a lot of designers at, say, Amazon, that would love to fill their layouts with images from a database, or an RSS feed, or…"

It would be awesome if you thought of a way to set different endpoints to get the images from (from the top of my mind: image folder, RSS feed, more social networks…)

This is an incredibly useful plugin, and adding more image sources would push it to the next level, imho : )

Not working for Sketch 3.6.x

Nothing happens when using the plugin with Sketch 3.6.x -- any chance this plugin will be updated?

Unable to Launch Plugin

Sorry for opening an issue, I just wasn't sure if there was a better place to put my question.

I'm getting the Could not launch plugin error when starting SketchSquares. I have yet to be able to launch it successfully. It seems that the error is related to this code:

Do you have any suggestions for how I can troubleshoot this?

Auth errors

The plugin kept failing with a console error

I tried revoking access via instagram to then re-request access but the plugin still thinks it's authorised. Long term the plugin should re-check its auth status but in the short term, can I clear the apps "data" and if so, where is it stored? I tried deleting the plugin without success.

Broken in beta 3.3.2 (12041)

The plugin doesn't seem to work on the beta.

Commit uncompiled version

Have you considered adding an uncompiled version of the .app portion for people who might want to peek in to that portion?

Instagram Login is not working for me

I'm on a never ending cycle of login attempts to Instagram.
I haven't been able to use the plugin yet.
I'm using Yosemite 10.10.3 and Sketch 3.3.2 and my Instagram credentials are correct.

This is what it shows to me:

Would love the ability to import avatar images similar to this but from a Twitter @username or by Gravatar email address.

Work with non-square

Would be great if this worked with non-square. Should be as simple as enabling non-square through the api: https://www.instagram.com/developer/clients/manage/, then Edit > Migrations > check "Non square media"

Allow images to be pasted as image pattern instead of a bitmap

Images pasted as an image pattern in sketch can be applied to any existing shape. This will allow me to use instagram images on round shapes or any shape I choose without deleting and replacing the layer with a bitmap.

Randomize loaded images

It would be great if this could randomize (via an option checkmark), e.g. sometimes you might select one rectangle, populate from a tag, then later select another rectangle, populate from the same tag. Now you have the same picture in both.

As a solution I would propose to fetch image URLs for no. of objects times two, but at least 16, and randomize the results before populating.
