Hello. I'm using the ALC1150. The issue I'm having is that after sleep, Codec Commander restarts all the audio devices so they work.
The issue, however is that it only restarts one of the headphones (front panel) and 2-channel speakers (back panel), so if I switch from one to the other it doesn't work after sleep.
Is there a layout ID that allows both to exist separately? It would be useful for me in other scenarios as well.

Hi!
I have ALC269 and i use layout 3. Everything is working very good (hdmi audio, external/internal speaker) but internal mic doesn't work. The system detect but doesn't recognise noise.
@935713827 opened vit9696/AppleALC#38
I try to join other 'Patch'
If other ‘Patch ’exists, then he will cause 'AppleLPC' or 'AppleHDA'Patch fail
Only restart
Maybe two will succeed
Two different binary files Patch
Such as' AppleHDA 'or' AppleLPC '
The binary name here is just a comparison.

At first, I want to do it myself, but i don't know what means about <key>Platform</key> <integer>23461891</integer>
, like this:
<dict> <key>Device</key> <integer>358</integer> <key>Model</key> <string>Laptop</string> <key>Name</key> <string>Intel HD4000 HDMI (ig-platform-id 0x01660003)</string> <key>Patches</key> <array> <dict> <key>Count</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>Find</key> <data> AgUAAAAEAAAHBAAAAwQAAAAEAACBAAAABAYAAAAEAACB AAAA </data> <key>MinKernel</key> <string>13</string> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleIntelFramebufferCapri</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> AgUAAAAIAAAHBAAAAwQAAAAIAACBAAAABAYAAAAIAACB AAAA </data> </dict> </array> <key>Platform</key> <integer>23461891</integer> <key>Vendor</key> <string>Intel</string> </dict>
And I don't find a way to choice the number for my laptop. the following line was used in my Clover config.plist for patch AppleIntelFramebufferCapri
<dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>HDMI-video, 64MB BIOS, HD4000 0x01660004 vit9696/AppleALC#1 of 2</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleIntelFramebufferCapri</string> <key>Find</key> <data>BABmAQEDAQEAAAAC</data> <key>Replace</key> <data>BABmAQECBAIAAAAE</data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>HDMI-video, 64MB BIOS, HD4000 0x01660004 vit9696/AppleALC#2 of 2</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleIntelFramebufferCapri</string> <key>Find</key> <data>MAIAAAAAAAABAAAAQAAAAAAAAAABAAAAQAAAAAAAAAABAAAAQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA</data> <key>Replace</key> <data>MAIAAAIFAAAABAAABwQAAAMEAAAABAAAgQAAAAQGAAAABAAAgQAAAAAAAAAAAgAR</data> </dict>

I use layout №3 and it works fine in El Capitan. But not working on Sierra.
@athei opened vit9696/AppleALC#75
I use AppleALC since Sierra PB3 through PB4 so I can not speak for earlier versions. I use this commit since the latest release had kernel panics on sierra: d21d436c9a78ce291c960c61f8901c613213812a
What I experience is that some times the boot just hangs (apple logo / stalling progress bar). Then I have to hard reset and try again. Then it works (most of the time). It happens mostly when I start the Hackintosh for the first time at that day (cold start / no reboot). Some times it does not work multiple times after another then I try booting without caches or just verbose mode, which resolves the issue. When I remove AppleALC the problem does not appear.
You added some locks in the latest patches. My guess without looking too hard at the code is that you probably introduced a race condition resulting in a deadlock under the wrong circumstances.
This makes sense because locks are notorious for introducing deadlocks and changing the timing (verbose mode, no caches) resolves the issue.

Hi there,
I couldn't get my work PC to work in terms of sound, using the latest version of AppleALC kext, in El Capitan. AppleHDA kext is native, and I cleared my config.plist. Also, I used Layout_id=1. Still..no sound.
Could you please, advise?
@huangwei0418 opened vit9696/AppleALC#41
Apple has changed the AppleHDA binary a lot, so if you are trying to use bcc’s patch-hda or toleda’s audioALC scripts, you will encounter with some issues.And of course you can manually modify these script to make them work fine with OS X Capitan
Apple added a new codec id 0x11D41983 and removed 0x10EC0884, 0x1AEC87FF (or more).
I have a legacy version of ALC888 (rev0x0202) which is not supported by default, I used legacy patch rev0x0201 patch from toleda.
For the AppleHDA binary, I replaced 0x11D41984 with 0x10EC0888.
Besides you have to disable the new codec 0x11D41983, otherwise AppleHDA.kext will be loaded without any sound.
To sum up, if you are using 0x11D41984 codec patch and suffering no sound, please try to disable this new codec id 0x11D41983

Hi @vit9696,
My laptop is ASUS K501LX (i7 5500U, HD5500) with audio codec of Realtek ALC3236 (a custom version of ALC233).
I used your kext with layout-id = 4 and got speaker and headphone worked, but internal mic didn't work. After checking /Resources/ALC233/layout4.xml.zlib, I found that MuteGPIO for Mic should be set to 1,342,242,843 (0x5001001B). So I built a custom version of AppleALC with modified layout4.xml.zlib and got internal mic worked.
Hope this solution will be included in later commit. Btw, your kext is awesome, it worked great on my first try. 😄

Hi all. Thank you for all the work. My system is OS X 10.11.5. Two days ago, I installed AppleALC to /EFI/Clover/kexts/Others
and set config.plist:
FixHDA_8000 == True
Audio->Inject == 3
Then reboot, the sound card worked well. But just once, reboot again, it didn't work anymore. Although my video card is HD4400, I tried adding UseIntelHDMI == True
according to https://github.com/vit9696/AppleALC/issues/34#issuecomment-210450891. Same as the former, just worked once. Searched on Google for a long time, I couldn't figure out any clue to address this, so I ask for help here.

I'm trying release version 1.0.13, and cannot get any audio to play in iTunes; the playhead stays at 0:00 and does not move. I have no previous audio modifications, this is a fresh install. I have FixHDA enabled in Clover, and I've tried layouts 5, 7, and 11. The driver appears to be loading, as shown in kextstat.txt.
The audio device is called HDEF, as shows here in IOJones:
system.log shows these lines, with the latter 2 lines repeated hundreds of times. Not sure if that's related:

Hi,
Support for my audio codec was added by InsanelyDeepak, who was kind enough to patch AppleHDA.kext for me. He committed the update to AppleALC with support for it. Big thanks!
Unfortunately, the latest version of AppleALC doesn't work at all for me. There aren't any sound outputs or inputs. The patched AppleHDA worked great, save for the external mic. I reverted to vanilla HDA, repaired permissions with Kext Wizard, copied AppleALC to /EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11, and rebooted.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Under System Information > Audio there are no devices listed.
You help is greatly appreciated!

Hey!
I installed the kext in the EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other, and I confirmed that it was loaded before AppleHDA. I then updated my config.plist to use layout 3, but speakers, microphone, and audio jacks are all not working. I can provide any information you need.
Thanks.

If it wasn't for me and my work, then we would still not have HDMI audio (since 10.8) so I think that I deserve the credits for it. Thanks.

目前正在尝试把AppleALC 转换为FFS 插入BIOS

Hello,
I have tried to use AppleALC kext on OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, but without success.
I have ASRock Q1900 MB (which does have Intel High Definition Audio - dev-id: 0x80860F04 with Realtek ALC662 Audio codec - dev-id: 0x10EC0662).
I've injected layout-id 5 (7 is not working - no audio devices) using Clover, and have enabled FixHDA in Clover's DSDT patches.
After OS X boot, I got my sound device and device ports recognized, but they are all messed up.
As you see in picture (attachment) - names are wrong, and there is an Optical Digital OUT (SPDIF) which my audio card doesn't have. Also, two ports from back panel are recognized as Input only, so I am unable to use 5.1 multi-channel.
Also, I got no sound on any of these ports.
What can be a problem?
Thanks anyway.
I'm attaching:
System.log (cat /var/log/system.log | grep AppleALC)
