WIFI Spy Tag game

Hey there, this is the code used for the WIFI based hide and seek/tag game using ESP8266 devices. The idea behind the game is that humans go and hide, while two zombies (or agents) start seeking them out. once a zombie comes in proximity to a human, they turn into zombies themselves. Eventually this game will be rebranded to a spy type of game, with more powerups and features to play around with.

Hardware

A Fritzing diagram of the hardware is provided as a wiring reference to connect the ESP-201/ESP8266, WS2812 8 channel LED strips, buttons, an switched battery pack. Please see the hardware subdirectory in the repo.

Hardware Build

I could possibly just be overlooking a file somewhere, but there aren't any pictures or lists or diagrams of the specific hardware you are using. Is there anyway to remedy this?

KiCad design

Hi Aaron,

I learned about the game through the cnlohr youtube channel!
Over the last months, I've adapted your game to work on the hardware I've had laying around (esp8266, WS2812B led ring, 2 AA batteries etc.) and played it with some of my friends.

Last weekend, I developed the design in KiCad to get it produced for about 3-4€/pc. The hardware is not completely compatible with the software here, and I made some additions (like a scoring tab).

Now, what Im looking for is a proper way to make a 'control'-board from which the sensitivity, radar and game-mode, duration etc. could be adjusted, if you have any ideas, let me know!

NB. dont mind the headers, Im also planning to add an I2C OLED screen for future upgradability, and programming header.. The 3 AA cells will be on the back, and the hole allows for a keycord.

Need hardware diagrams that can be printed out + assembly instructions.

Add LCD screens instead of rgb lights

This will allow for easier information, and possibly other types of games as well.

Not really a issue But i wish it there was a arduino version of this game.

Hello sorry I'm not a programmer by any means I love playing with arduino code to make something. Just never did this type of coding or compiling. Is there or would there be a arduino version of this game?

change AAA batteries out for rechargeable battery in the design.
