ada-st's Introduction

Suckless' st is my terminal emulator on Gentoo Linux, with dwm as window manager.

All changes i make are preceded by comments starting with "ada", so
that they can be easily traced by searching for "ada" in the code.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Since i have hardcoded my preferred font into st (see config.h),
   this will only work if:
   a. you either install the same font:
      Fantasque Sans Mono (https://fontlibrary.org/en/font/fantasque-sans-mono)
      Gentoo package: media-fonts/fantasque-sans-mono
   b. you change config.h (line 8) by placing your font of choice.
2. As said by suckless (see below), remember to check config.mk

st - simple terminal
--------------------
st is a simple terminal emulator for X which sucks less.


Requirements
------------
In order to build st you need the Xlib header files.


Installation
------------
Edit config.mk to match your local setup (st is installed into
the /usr/local namespace by default).

Afterwards enter the following command to build and install st (if
necessary as root):

    make clean install


Running st
----------
If you did not install st with make clean install, you must compile
the st terminfo entry with the following command:

    tic -sx st.info

See the man page for additional details.
