Whitelabel Error Page

Following the instructions to build the angular part, I saw that vulnerabilities were reported, and I dutifully ran 'npm audit fix' to repair them. I didn't get rid of them all before moving on to test the app. I built it & ran it (mvn spring-boot:run) as per instructions, and it seemed to work fine, but then I noticed something odd. When I reload a page, or change the url by typing into the address bar, I get an error message:

This application has no explicit mapping for /error, so you are seeing this as a fallback.

There was an unexpected error (type=Not Found, status=404).
No message available
& then I can only get rid of that error by entering localhost:8080 in the address bar (if I type that followed by /customers or customerdetails/1, e.g., I still get the error).
