About project Tahoe

Introduction

This project, named Tahoe aims to create Fixie AI based VSCode extension for RedwoodJS developers. The work on this project is envisioned as the collaboration between Sift, Fixie and Nikolaj Ivancic acting as the advisor / project coordinator. In order to ensure the use of the latest knowledge of Generative AI, we will follow the course Career Essentials in Generative AI by Microsoft and LinkedIn. In addition, Fixie AI is recognized as the world's leading platform for building conversational AI agents and Sift will soon announce Discord, Slack and Web AI agents; adding VSCode agent will complement their line of products.

Tahoe definition

Since RedwoodJS would be a very strong and prominent partner, we will take the two-staged approach:

1. Tahoe-Sidekick

Start with the JavaScript app that launches the Redwood customized, Fixie based Sidekick, running side by side and independently of the Redwood application under development in VSCode:

1. Tahoe-VScode extension

There are several VSCode AI agents at this time, the Code GPT: Chat & AI Agents getting most attention. The first task in this stage is to analyze Code GPT extensively, expecting to learn a lot.
