AIMNAS

AIMNAS is an item/map modification for JA2 1.13, more info on the 1.13 mod can be found at http://ja2v113.pbworks.com

Requirements

AIMNAS currently requires atleast version 8790 of JA2 1.13 with gamedir atleast at level 2529
Any earlier release of 1.13 may not work correctly with AIMNAS

JA2 1.13 download

There are two separate releases of JA2 1.13, the legacy 7609 release and the constantly updated SVN release. AIMNAS only works with the SVN release, more information about this release can be found on the Bear's Pit forums at http://thepit.ja-galaxy-forum.com/

Updates

  • Config files and lua scripts updated to JA2 1.13 rev 8790 / GameDir 2529
  • Many settings now match v1.13 defaults
  • Obsolete/garbage/redundant files including german subtitles were removed
  • Fix: added missing sound file "Ceramic Armour Insert.wav"
  • Fix: added foo files for new Dimitry/Ira speech ("D_059_100.ogg", "D_060_100.ogg")
  • Fix: corrected some XML files to cure a bunch of warnings in game logs (Profile directory)
  • Fix: added lacked San Mona settings in Mod_Setting.ini
  • Fix: corrected Heli coordinates for Skyrider quest completion
  • Fix: added icon for "skilled officer" to prevent crash - "normal officer" now shows two bars instead of three - not to be confused with actual enemy ranks
  • Change: Enemy ranks to be slightly more intuitive
  • Change: Added support for factories
  • Change: Updates to SectorNames.xml may enable bandit/bloodcat/zombie raids, weather effects, snakes, and new thief mechanic

English

Where is the English version. EDT are in German.

Crash can't start AIMNAS

So I wanted to start a new game after like 8 years and I got this after trying to run AIMNAS downloaded right from here 2 hours ago, here's the 1.13 version with all the details and the picture of the error.

JA 1.13 + AIMNAS: Food doesn't working no matter what

I'm unsure whether this is about aimnas or the ja 1.13 itself but when I set FOOD = TRUE in Data-1.13\Ja2_Options.INI food and water info never appear when hovering mouse over the health bar or merc body.
I tried it with JA1.13 9004 and then reinstalled with 8796 with the same result. Wondering what could be wrong.

Crash at start because of missing LOBOT tag

Need to add

 <Filter name="IsFemale">
    <OR>
        <BODYTYPE>REGFEMALE</BODYTYPE>
    </OR>
</Filter>

to Data-Aim\TableData\LogicalBodyTypes\Filters.xml
to prevent game crashing because of missing LOBOT tag.

Can't put mercenaries on the map, having to use "spread" option

Hey!

Changed recently from 1.13 SVN to AIMNAS, and seems I'm unable to place any mercenaries on the sector-map when traveling to it, only the automatic "spread" option lets me play the sector.
There is no "highlighted area" showing, hence not possible to put any mercenaries on the map, as would always complain about it.
Maybe something 1.13 changed? I remember there being one note about preventing mercs to be put on the edges of the map where they would be invisible, maybe not working together with big maps? Or just a weird issue I'm alone with?

Newest 1.13 build and newest AIMNAS by the time of writing 4.6.2017.

overhead.lua update

overhead.lua needs updates for the roomnumbers to correctly map to aimnas

HK 53A4 Transformations

HK 53A4 (ID #5161-5164) allows collapsing between RAS/Regular versions, lacks ability to remove rails.

BR's descriptions too long and other issues

**AUG-A1 - has Styer instead of Steyr in description, also not named Steyr AUG-A1 which makes it show up in the wrong location (others named Steyr AUG-A2)

Graphic artifacts in Map screen

ACTUAL:
Graphic artifacts in the map-view area of the Map screen.

EXPECTED:
Background map in the map-view area should not contain any artifacts.

RESOLVE:
The issue is caused by file Data-Bigmaps/interface/b_Map_1024x768.pcx which is currently stored as 8-bits RGB. Re-converting to 8 bits indexed color fixes the issue ;)

Add disease protection to basic gas mask

The regular gas mask should have the same disease protection as the other gas masks.

Also I'd like to offer my help as modder.

I'm not completely green as far as programming goes and can speak both English and German.
