Fill fails for dtype=np.float32

Fortran code is expecting double precision, so the easiest thing to do is probably cast the input grids to np.float64 before passing to the fortran layer.

In xarray

By the way @ajdawson your code is very useful - thanks for sharing. I think it could be a great addition to xarray. They currently have an ffill method but it only operates along one single dimension as far as I can tell. See example below for quick comparison. @shoyer ?
compare_fills

fill not found in new version

Hi, just noticed that this library is updated to a modernized version.

If I install the new version using python setup.py install, I can not find the fill function if I import from gridfill import fill

However this works if I use the old version.(c0ae1f9). Do you know why this happens?
