Mac Feedback

Re: release Beta-1

I was unable to test Mac, if you experience an issue on Mac be as through as possible and I will do my best to fix it.
I've installed it on a recent Mac and it's running alright (though I retrieved the files from the "GotifyDesktop-Win.zip" download, so it might be that the filenames on the .zip files aren't correct? The "GotifyDesktop-Mac.zip" download contains a .exe file).

The only issues I've experienced are;

• Updates don't happen automatically; you need to go in and refresh
• Icons aren't carried across for the apps

Happy to keep testing for Mac, if it helps.

Improvements

looks good. But I think there is still a lot todo, here some bullet points.

• Logout
• Cleaner login, maybe have an input where the whole url can be inserted. Having different inputs for port is inconvinient
• better sync of messages. Currently if a message gets deleted when the application is not active, then it stays in the database. Instead of saving the messages to a local db the app could just request them every time the application is started.
• Continuous Integration - Automatic Builds and stuff
• Build Instructions in Readme

Improve the UI for adding a server

No executable in Windows Release

In the latest Windows release download, there is no .exe file to start the app with. There is a exe in there, but it doesn't appear to be related to the app. Renaming the GotifyDesktop file to end with .exe gives an executable, but generates an application to big to fit in memory error.

Remove DatabaseService

Need to simplify things, we can save everything in a text file encoded in json instead of all the cruft of a database. This would also make it easier to add back in later when adding multi server support

Database Service should be replaced with just a json file

How to install?

Maybe i am blind, but where is the .exe file?

I git cloned the master branch and i wanted to try it out on Windows and/or Linux, but i don't find the .exe you mentioned in the README.

Could you please give me a hint?

Let people chose to just listen for new messages and not store them in the database

Would love to try out this project but it seems that the Mac archive contains a windows exe and the windows version contains a mac zip file that contains the zip file again.

Remove parital support for Multiple servers

Program went through a lot of changes and things need to be redesigned from scratch for now we should remove all multi server support.

Mostly UI stuff at the moment

Will not re-connect if loses connection

If connection is lost to server re-connection will not work

Deleting Application does not delete the messages for it

When deleting an App the messages stay around in the Database, Need to delete those as well.
